Have you spotted it on your tube travels?

As well as running design consultancy  Dolman-Bowles, Phil who is a Clapham North Art Centre client, is one of the founding members of Brixton Design Trail – BDT, which is one of the districts of the London Design Festival.  BDT is a group of Lambeth based designers and artists.

BDT run a series of art and design events and installations to celebrate creativity in and around Brixton. These design events are very much in the public domain to engage with the community, created by small independent designers and artists.

Since BDT started, 5 years ago, they have painted the pavement outside Brixton tube and this year TfL asked them to paint the pavements outside Clapham North and Stockwell tube stations. This year BDT used their “WE BELONG” theme stencilled on to the paving in the very earlier hours.  These are done with a chalk based surveyors spray, which gets scrubbed off by the councils cleaning machine, but usually remains for a few weeks after the event.

So this will explain why you may have spotted it on your tube travels and hopefully made your way to some of our events!
